This discussion group is open to any adult, any orientation, and any relationship status. Whether you are an old hand at swinging, are simply curious about it, or anywhere in between, this discussion group is for you. There will be one facilitator that will keep the discussion on topic, but everyone's input, experience, questions and stories are welcome to help flesh out this event. Discussion starts officially at 7:30 but there will be an informal Munch prior to the formal discussion. The munch will be at the community center as well... come anytime after 6:30 and bring your own dinner. You can pack a picnic lunch from home of pick up take out at many nearby restaurants on Bank. There is a Subway, pizza, Indian food and a deli (just to mention a few) all within a block or two of the club.

This pansexual event is open to all adults, genders & orientation, and is designed for the novice or those new to the Ottawa community. We will begin with a short intro to BDSM (what is it, what's happening in Ottawa, how do I get involved, etc).
For those who are already involved in this lifestyle, here's a chance to Show & Tell! Bring your favorite toys and show them off to the Newbies. Share your favorite techniques and play styles. Fetwear is most welcome, but not necessary. (no nudity!)
This is NOT a play party. Get a team together and join us for Breathless' 1st annual car rally! What is a Car Rally? Combine a treasure hunt with the Amazing Race, and you've got it! All entrant's will converge at one starting point and be 'released' one car at a time to run their course, under time restriction and with a 'map' & tips or clues on what to look for. Bring a digital camera, as some of the treasure hunt items may require a photo as proof of your success! Door prizes will be awarded at the end. We must have 5 teams pre-registered and prepaid by Thursday June 15 or the Rally will be cancelled. Please RSVP for the picnic so we have enough for everyone!
For those who do not wish to run the rally but would like to participate in the picnic, we will disclose the final destination secretly (so those who are running the rally will not know their goal ahead of time!). This info will be released on Fri to those who rsvp, but know it's in the south end of Ottawa. The picnic is potluck, so bring your favorite dish and/or dessert, and we'll supply hotdogs, buns and condiments, ice tea and lemonade, as well as all dishes and cutlery. We will also have cold canned pop/bottled water for sale. You'll need to bring your own lawn chairs or picnic blankets and any fun distractions (vanilla please! Ie: Frisbee, foot ball, etc). This rally and picnic is open to the public and will include folks from all alternative lifestyles, so please be discrete.

This bondage workshop will teach the basics of rope tieing, safety, types of materials to use, 2 point ties, and how to care for your rope. It is geared toward bondage novices, but all may attend. Bring a length of your own rope, as there will be a hands-on portion. If you dont have your own rope, we can lend you some. It is best to attend with someone to work on, but we will do our best to have 'bondage demo bodies' for you to work on. There will likely be time near the end to play with your rope a little more after the class winds down (until 5pm).

This workshop will look at incorporating medical equipment and scenarios into play. Learn how to safely use needles, scalpels, and other sharp and pointy instruments. Explore the use of speculums and other medical supplies. Learn about enema safety. Get ideas on the use of gauze and other wrapping material. Discover new ways of integrating medical themes and equipment into your own fantasies and scenarios. If time permits, a short section may be added on Medical Role Play.

Teams of 2 or 3 will body paint one of their team members. Come with your own team already formed for this activity. No singles and no voyeurs, only participant teams of 2 or 3. A facilitator will, by demonstration and talking to the group, provide some basics on how to do a body painting. Then teams will begin the painting of their team's model, and when completed, be able to photograph their results in a black backdrop setting.
All participants should arrive slightly before the 12:30 start time to set up and prepare. For those who do not already have their paint and brushes, we will walk over to the art supply store (across the street) at 12:30 so you can purchase what you'll need for the day.

Cane Making

During the hands on multimedia workshop, attendees will learn how to take a section of rattan and make a cane. Learn about where rattan comes from and how it can be shaped into one of it's many uses including drumming canes, tapered canes, school canes, nipple clamps, etc.
Each attendee will be given a piece of raw rattan and shown the techniques needed to shape it into a cane. The finishing of the cane and how to take care of it so that it lasts for years will be demonstrated.
Different techniques on how to use canes will also be discussed. From the sensual strokes that can be used to warm up your partner to the hard play typically associated with canes. A good deal of time will be spent on the sensual art of caning as well as tips for tops on building tolerance for hard cane strokes.
The workshop will be lead by our own Lord Omy who has been an active supporter of the scene. About six or seven years ago he was at a kink fair and after some discussion with the craftsman and a couple later workshops he fell in love with canes. Canes are his favorite item in his toy bag (he still uses the cane he bought from the craftsman). Last year, out of necessity, he started learning about how to make canes. He spoke with many people including the craftsman, now retired, on how to make good quality canes that will last for years. His talents as a cane maker continue to improve with ever cane made. He has introduced his first new cane creation called Tiger Ratan. An especially nasty little cane harder players will enjoy.
Attendees should bring with them either a large towel or an apron, as they will get a little dusty. The workshop is open to all members of the club.

It is time once again for Breathless’ Spring Clothing Swap. An event where those articles of clothing that are just no longer your favorites, or never were, can find new homes where they will be loved and wanted. Have no closet space? No hangers? Gained or lost weight? Bag it all up and bring it to the Breathless Clothing Swap! The rules are simple, really.
- To keep things fair we ask that no one take more items than they have brought (until the end of the night after everyone has a chance to chose from the offerings).
- All items must be in good and clean condition and can include clothing of any description (fetwear, work wear, casual wear, lingerie, shoes, jewelry and accessories, handbags, etc). Adult sizes only: no kids clothes.
- Nothing for sale: exchange only.
- We ask everyone to arrive promptly at 7pm to sort their items into appropriate size piles, then relax for a bit (while not checking out the offerings) until 7:30 when everyone then gets to search for the best finds.
- Anything that has not found a home by the end of the night will be donated to a local charity.
